Answering questions at an all candidates forum organised by Kenilworth Churches Together at Kenilworth Methodist Church on Sunday night, Richard Allanach made clear his personal support for returning a railway station to Kenilworth.

"All the local councils are in favour - it is only the Strategic Rail Authority that is acting as a block. We need our MP to act like dyno-rod and get the station proposal moving again."

Richard Allanach explained that supporting effective public transport was necessary to avert climate change. "By the year 2050 we need to cut current energy consumption in this country by a fifth through efficiency and conservation measures and ensure that half our remaining energy needs are delivered from renewable sources like hydro, tidal, wind and biomass" he said.
