Opposition to Phone Mast in Town Centre

Phone Mast

Cllr Pat Ryan (Liberal Democrat, Kenilworth Abbey) has led opposition at Kenilworth Town Council to a proposal by mobile phone operator O2 to install a phone mast and service cabinet between the two bus shelters at Abbey End.

The council backed his idea that an aerial could be designed unobtrusively into the new building planned at Abbey End.

Pat said:

"O2's proposal would ruin the street scene in an area which was only recently refurbished by the district council. We want to move forwards in regenerating our town centre, not backwards!"
