Having only recently secured the funding for a combined village speed review and safer routes to school project for Burton Green in 2007/2008 (a year ahead of plan), county councillor John Whitehouse has pushed things ahead fast.

With the agreement of the joint parish council, he has set up a small group of local residents and school governors that has worked with county officers to produce draft plans. These will be put to the parish council later this month, and then go out to public consultation soon after.

Liberal Democrats don't hang around, we get on with things!
